Update as of Sunday, Sept. 6., at 7 a.m.: The SCE-initiated Public Safety Power Shutoff period of concern impacting Bear Valley lines has been CLEARED. There is no immediate threat of shutoff at this time.

Update as of Saturday, Sept. 5, 11:30 a.m.: SCE has indicated that it is likely to shut off power to Bear Valley lines in the next four hours due to wind-driven fire conditions. Conditions could last through midnight tonight (Saturday, Sept. 5).

Please note that a shut-off has not been confirmed at this time. However, if SCE de-energizes these lines, BVES will have very limited capacity, and some or all customers may experience an outage. Customers should prepare for the possibility of an extended outage and continue monitoring BVES updates.
